TOULOUSE
Synopsis:
From one extreme to the other, from romantic charm to the rawest humanity, a bucolic and naturalistic fable, with a touch of the avant-garde, proudly displaying its freedom of tone. A headlong flight. That of Gudule, a young girl desperately seeking to escape her uncle’s advances. A time of encounters, too. First La Fouine, a young poacher who takes her in, then Georges, a shy young bourgeois who falls in love with her. A debut feature film by Jean Renoir, which effortlessly blends melodrama, early neorealism, farce and surrealism.
Rebecca Féron – harp
David Haudrechy – saxophone, vocals
