AGDE
Exhibition of paintings and sculptures by members of the association. Guest of honour: Marcel Fabre.
Founded in 1979, AAPIA now has 115 members and has been working for nearly half a century to promote the visual arts in the Agathois region. True to its founding principles, the association operates on a non-commercial basis, offering free workshops and exhibition opportunities accessible to all artists.
Throughout the year, AAPIA offers a wide range of activities open to its members: painting in all media, drawing and watercolour, oil painting, ceramics, children’s workshops and even artistic meditation. A Street Art workshop aimed at teenagers is also in the pipeline.
As an active partner in local cultural life, the association organises or takes part in numerous exhibitions and events in Agde and neighbouring towns. Its events regularly take place in iconic venues such as the Salle du Chapitre, the Salle de la Chapelle, Château Laurens, the seafront at Grau d’Agde and the Avant-Port at Cap d’Agde.
In 2025, the association’s various exhibitions welcomed nearly 3,200 visitors, reflecting the public’s growing interest in the visual arts and local artists.
With this new edition of the Grand Salon, the AAPIA reaffirms its key role in promoting artistic creation and invites the public to discover the richness and diversity of local talent.
