To kick off the season, discover the winter event at Château Laurens: the Les Belles Ondes – Art Nouveau in Music festival, on 23, 25 and 28 February, and 2, 4, 6 and 8 March.

In 2005, referring to the Psalms of David that director Claude Régy (1923-2019) had chosen to bring to the theatre, Régy wrote: “The psalms interested me because they prove that the quarrel between the ancients and the moderns is completely ridiculous. In one of my books, I quote this sentence from Adorno: The new is at the same time the old: in the new, the old is recognised and becomes easily intelligible.
So instead of opposing the old and the modern, we must understand that the old illuminates and renews the new, giving it a different light. And this is a mutual enrichment.” We could not have said it better ourselves.
