Les ÉpouxP’s Studiolo
At the source of the Canal du Midi
From 18 September to 10 November 2025, the Cité de Sorèze will host ‘Le Studiolo’, an installation by the artists Les ÉpouxP – Pascale and Damien Peyret – presented in partnership with Les Abattoirs, Museum – Frac Occitanie Toulouse, and produced with the support of Voies navigables de France, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Canal du Midi’s inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Inspired by the studioli of the Renaissance – those private study rooms where knowledge, precious objects, science and the imagination intermingled – this artistic project invites visitors to step into an intimate world, conducive to observation, contemplation and journeying. Through a poetic and richly evocative installation, Les ÉpouxP explore our relationship with heritage, landscapes and the narratives that shape our lands.
