Eclecticism, lyricism, virtuosity and modernity are all on the programme for this highly original evening. While it includes emblematic composers of twentieth-century music such as Georges Enesco and Henri Tomasi, whose soundscapes are evocative and meditative, we can’t wait to discover the gentle lines of Éric Ewazen, or the creativity of Ricardo Mollá! The trombone and trumpet also take on a theatrical dimension in Castérède’s Concertino, in which we can admire the brass instruments in all their glory.
