A blend of music-hall, theater, circus and music, Les Mangeurs de lapin are an artistic genre as singular as it is unclassifiable. Playing out their characters from the 20s to the 50s, in this new opus they set off to conquer the world, stopping off in various countries. Deliberately playing with clichés and cultural codes, they have fun hijacking traditions, revealing their ever more astute talents between magic, cross-dressing and circus.
Defending a deliberately old-fashioned style, they dare all kinds of metamorphoses, while showcasing their poetic characters. A surreal tribute to the greats of burlesque, this wordless show is carried off with a bang by our four comrades at the top of their game. When absurdity and nonsense combine with virtuosity?
