TOULOUSE
These festive strolls are designed to help the residents of the Pink City forget the hardships of winter and herald the return of spring, which is not far off. The festivities are accompanied by symbolic dances (farandoles) or revisited dances (flash mob-type formats), in a participatory and popular spirit.
Participants are invited to dress up and wear masks, in the purest carnival tradition, with, for example, the right to be King for one Saturday.
The Samedis Percussions du Monde are a period of collective jubilation recognised and approved by the COCU label (world carnival experts). This festive sequence precedes Lent and ends with the BatucaGras (to be held on 14 February).
