TOULOUSE
Monophonic is a study of music played in ‘one voice’. The compositions are long, slow-building layers of sound. The drone and squeak of the trombone create shifting harmonics, strange clicks and clatters, cyclical adjustments of timbre, accompanied by sudden breaths.
