MIWA invites you to discover the arts, crafts and cultures of Japan through a festival designed as a space for passing on knowledge, meeting others and sharing experiences. Far from being merely a thematic event, the festival offers a vibrant, respectful and nuanced perspective on Japanese traditions and their contemporary expressions.
Craftspeople, artists and enthusiasts come together for workshops, demonstrations and opportunities to exchange ideas, helping visitors to discover techniques, practices and stories passed down through the generations. Each activity highlights the richness and diversity of Japanese culture, bridging the gap between heritage and contemporary creation.
The programme includes: performances and music, martial arts, taiko, dance, calligraphy, manga, the Kodomo Village and hands-on workshops, crafts, Japanese cuisine and cultural encounters.
