TOULOUSE
At the crossroads of puppetry, poetry and visual art, MURAILLE is an intimate and visceral performance in which Louis Ponsolle looks back on his teenage years, a time where child psychiatrists in stiletto heels, troubled teenagers and the ghosts of punks with dogs all intertwine.
Joined on stage by Constant Fossard, he lends his voice to nurses, psychiatrists and friends in a mental theatre where re-enactments, projections, memories and daydreams intertwine: the humiliations of secondary school, the violence of sixth form, the clandestine parties in the woods, and that tipping point where reality wavers.
Through his personal account, he paints a portrait of an anxious generation in search of meaning. The aim is as much to address young people’s mental health as it is to explore creativity as a means of self-preservation. Conceived as a poetic haven, a refuge in which to reflect and heal our wounds, MURAILLE transforms the experience of living on the margins into a luminous theatrical work.
