AGDE
A unique and innovative competition that allows swimmers of all ages and abilities to practice swimming in a natural environment, while at the same time raising awareness among participants and the general public of the fragility of our environment.
At the crossroads of fresh and salt water, swimmers will be able to set off in complete safety in the heart of the ancient Greek city over 1 km, 2.6 km and 5.25 km.
Whatever your level, we guarantee there’s a place for you! The key words: challenge, fun and a unique experience in one of summer’s most popular cities.
PROGRAMME:
Saturday 18 May :
>10.00am: Opening of the swimmers’ village
> 16.00: Start of the 5, 25 km race on the Hérault river at the foot of Saint-Etienne cathedral. Agde
> 5pm: Start of the 2.6km race on the Hérault on the route du Grau opposite the Pépinière campsite. Le Grau d’Agde
> 6.00 pm: start of the 1 km from the Grau d’Agde jetty.
Finish at the Front de Mer beach. Le Grau d’Agde (from age 10)
Sunday 19 May :
>09:00: Meeting point at Plage Richelieu Est
>10.00 am: Start of the Cap d’Agde/Grau d’Agde water ride.
