TOULOUSE
Sing the Toulousaine!
From 6.30pm to 8pm
It’s become a tradition at the Musée du Vieux-Toulouse to sing La Toulousaine, a hymn to the Pink City written in the mid-19th century, from which Claude Nougaro borrowed some of the lyrics for his own song about Toulouse. After a brief historical introduction, La Toulousaine will be performed this year by the La Lauzeta (L’Alouette) choir, an energetic children’s choir with a highly varied repertoire.
From 9pm to 11pm
There’s a change of atmosphere with the Swing23 quartet, whose Django Reinhardt and jazz standards will have the courtyard of the museum ringing out for a cool, festive end to the evening!
A great evening in Toulouse!
