TOULOUSE
Wagner was unrivalled in his ability to express the emotions of love through rich, taut harmonies.
This influence can be seen in Richard Strauss’s sextet, which opens his last opera, Capriccio, with music full of elegance and lyricism. It is also very present in the music of the young Arnold Schoenberg, an admirer of Strauss, whose famous Transfigured Night tells a story of love and forgiveness, inspired by a poem.
The musicians of the Orchestre National du Capitole, Les Clefs de Saint-Pierre, offer us a programme under the banner of love, emotion… and transformation.
