Here, Nicolas Heredia sets them a challenge: to interpret interviews with legendary film actors and actresses, who speak freely about their work, their doubts, their limitations and the obstacles they face.
From the outset, the rehearsals were filmed to capture the initial attempts, the trial and error, and the progress made. The result is a hybrid and playful piece: both a performance and a glimpse into the making of the performance itself.
And, by revealing the vulnerability of the actors and actresses as they try, fail and try again, things gradually emerge that are quite widely shared by each and every one of us: our paralysing fears and sudden bursts of confidence, our refusal to be held back by obstacles, our fragile discoveries, and our remarkable ability to land more or less on our feet – sometimes with a certain grace.
