TOULOUSE
POEM OF A RIVER is a musical and theatrical production. Director Lisa Como tells the story of the final days of her grandmother, Marianne Como, who decided to stop eating in order to die. Through poetic and evocative writing, this play brings to life memories that surge forth like flashbacks as death approaches: from birth to the end of life, from childhood to motherhood, from anger to fear – thus taking shape is the legacy passed down between women, from generation to generation, from grandmother to granddaughter. On stage, rapper Léon Lia, performer Inès Naoun, Lisa Como and the compositions of Joan Cambon come together to give voice and form to this poignant journey.
