On a bare stage, nine performers aged from 19 to 67 explore intra-family ties, between clashes and tenderness. Loving, toxic or absent families: how to free oneself from them or anchor oneself in them?
In solo, duo or ensemble, bodies seek each other out, clash and come together. Drawing on hip-hop, cabaret, voguing and contemporary, the dance is fluid, powerful and joyful, carried by Lucie Antunes? electrifying music.
Burlesque figures, raw emotions and communicative energy make up this collective portrait of a thousand nuances. With humor and sensitivity, Portrait resonates with our own family histories, in an ode to connection, individuality and the strength of the group.
