Alix Mouysset shares her documentary research into this woman’s ‘real’ life using her overhead projector, through which period photographs, artefacts and illustrations are brought to life. We follow the adventures of Emma, whose life was full of incredible twists and turns and marked by tribulations.
Driven by a desire for emancipation and seeking to break free from her family’s traditions, she allows herself to be guided by her fantasies and creative impulses. Amidst the artistic effervescence of the era, she will find her way into the early days of animated imagery and colourisation.
