The Kindertotenlieder were composed by Mahler to poems by Rückert, inspired by the death of two of his children. Sibelius’s Symphony No. 5 betrays the upheavals of the world and of the composer, while revealing his faith in a better future. Marianne Crebassa promises sublime Kindertotenlieder, under the nuanced direction of Roberto Forés Veses. A concert particularly rich in emotion.
