TOULOUSE
An American pianist and singer based in France, she has won over a wide audience with her two critically acclaimed albums, *Blood Siren* (2019) and *High Priestess ’ (2023), her collaborations and an intense stage presence, often described as deeply moving.
It was in New Orleans, amidst the electric atmosphere of the cabarets and clubs where she performed as a resident artist for several years, that Sarah forged her stage persona: a blend of raw vulnerability, dark humour, gentle rage and utter sincerity. She still carries this legacy with her on stage today, with an instinctive theatricality where every note and every silence counts.
Accompanied by her two musicians, Jeffrey Hallam (bass) and Antoine Kerninon (drums / synth), Sarah presents a new show drawing on material from a third album currently in the making. Straddling the blues roots of her debut album and the more contemporary approach to electronic and industrial textures of her second album, this new chapter moves towards a bold synthesis. On stage, the compositions unfold and transform, in a vibrant tension between simplicity and power, true to the rare intensity that is Sarah McCoy’s signature.
