After a successful first edition in 2021, Art Lab City, imagined by lntersites ATP (Architecture Territoire Paysage) and the City of Agde, returns to the historic center for a new itinerary that will take you from the Parc de Belle Isle to the ramparts of Agde, via Rue Honoré Muratet, Rue Louis Bages and Rue Jean Roger, not forgetting of course the Promenade.
In all, no fewer than 21 artists*, from France and abroad, will be taking part in this 2nd edition, some with original creations that will interact with the historic buildings and basalt stone houses typical of Agde.
Alongside these monumental sculptures, which will take their place for a year in the streets of Agde, the “espace Molière” will host an exhibition of “small-scale” works during February and March 2026. These small- and medium-format scupltures will give you a whole new perspective on the artists’ creative work. It’s an opportunity to enjoy a sensitive and poetic experience, a unique approach to the infinite links between creative experimentation, which in turn inspires the creation of large-scale sculpture.
