The whole thing might sound like a mechanics course, but that’s not the case at all, thanks to the personality of its mechanic, whose aim is to make us witness a moment of magic. How the combination of blackened nuts, old metal bits, plastic hoses and rubber membranes comes to life before our very eyes and sweeps us away.
The mechanic is funny. In a world that’s going to hell, he’s not fooled by the absolute futility of repairing an old Solex. Faced with the triumph of the disposable, he highlights the qualities of today?s derisory hero, the repairman.
