In a Second Empire bourgeois family, Léonie?s delivery triggers a series of disputes and misunderstandings. A tyrannical midwife turns the house upside down, creating a comic absurdity typical of Feydeau. A joyously cynical and burlesque show in which the petit-bourgeois get bogged down in their own shortcomings.
