RAMONVILLE-SAINT-AGNE
We are offering a workshop in the Art of Movement (a discipline made famous by the film *YAMAKASI* or *Les Fils Du Vent*) led by none other than one of the pioneers and founders of this discipline, Chau BELLE. It will take place on Saturday 24 October 2026 at the Karben sports hall from 11.00 am. Beginners are welcome.
. The Art of Movement is a sport that involves moving around using street furniture or anything else in the vicinity; it is an expressive activity, but it is also more than that – it is a way of life. Come and discover this highly rewarding and surprising activity.
Thanks to its playful nature, the Art of Movement is suitable for everyone – children, teenagers, adults and active older people. It offers all the benefits of a sporting activity: motor skills development, balance, muscle strengthening, flexibility, and so on. Although it is true that the activity suffers from a biased external perception due to certain practitioners and the media, it is a genuine, codified discipline – respectful, social and imbued with strong values (a love of hard work, mutual support, courage, etc.) which is now gradually coming to the fore thanks to the work of the Yamakasi founders, of whom Chau BELLE is one. Don’t be put off by how impressive the sport looks; you too can become a Yamakasi at your own level.
Chau BELLE is one of the Yamakasi founders – one of the people at the heart of this discipline – and he is also the patron of the ADD Academy Toulouse; it is thanks to him that this organisation exists in Ramonville. We are deeply honoured to have him with us and are delighted to welcome him so we can share and exchange ideas with him. This is your chance to meet him, ask him questions, take photos, and work up a bit of a sweat 🙂
To find out more about the sport, do have a look on Google or YouTube – you won’t be disappointed; For newcomers, his name might not mean much to you, but if you’ve seen the film *Yamakasi*, or even *Les Fils du Vent*, then you’ve already seen him, at least on the telly.
If you think that ‘Art du Déplacement’ is just a passing fad, a ‘street’ sport for ‘youngsters’, we’d advise you to come along to the workshop to understand what this discipline is all about and to discover what it can bring to your everyday life. 🙂
