A new sporting adventure is coming to the Hérault coastline.
On Saturday 5 September 2026, Vias-Plage will host the very first edition of the Vias Swimrun Experience, a brand-new event that promises to showcase the Vias coastline from a unique perspective, combining the sea and running.

Swimrun is a rapidly growing discipline that alternates between sections of running and open-water swimming, without a break.
Participants switch between the two activities throughout the course, offering an immersive sporting experience set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean landscape.

Designed to be accessible to as many people as possible, the Vias Swimrun Experience is aimed at both beginners and experienced athletes. Participants can choose between three race formats – XS, S and M – with the option to compete solo or in pairs, making a total of six events.

Race numbers can be collected from 6.30 am, with the first starts taking place from 7 am at Vias Plage.
This inaugural event is organised by Extrem Challenge Events and the Vias Trail Running association, in partnership with the town of Vias.
Beyond sporting achievement, the Vias Swimrun Experience showcases Vias’s natural heritage and outdoor activities accessible to all.

Registration is now open, and the organisers invite athletes, those who love a challenge and anyone curious to come and experience this inaugural event.
