TOULOUSE
SYNCHRO invites you to (re)discover masterpieces from the silent era, as well as rarer films, the great masters of burlesque and daring actresses, renowned and emerging musicians, and beautifully restored films. From solo performances to symphonic ensembles, from the organ to electronic music, all musical approaches – improvisation, the interpretation of existing scores and composition – come together to allow you to (re)discover works that exist in a unique form for the duration of SYNCHRO.
Among the great classics on the programme, Murnau’s *L’Aurore* explores the torments of a couple threatened by an adulterous affair, whilst *Le Golem* plunges you into a fantastical Prague, where a clay creature escapes its creator. Laughter takes centre stage with Harold Lloyd in *The Little Brother*, a slapstick comedy blending gags, stunts and a love story. William Wellman’s *Wings* offers a spectacular epic about two aviators – friends and romantic rivals – caught up in the battles of the First World War.
