SAINT-FELIX-LAURAGAIS
After Sophocles, Jean Anouilh takes up the myth of Antigone. The daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta, the young Antigone rebels against the human law that forbids the burial of the body of her brother Polynices. Performed during the Occupation in 1944, Anouilh’s play depicts the absoluteness of a character in revolt against power, injustice and mediocrity.
