Comedy theater by Carlo Goldoni
Taken who thought he was taking …
With Caterina Murino, Sarah Biassini, Vincent Deniard, Vincent Desagnat, and the friendly vocal participation of Jean Reno
Rosaura, a beautiful and wealthy Venetian woman, meets four suitors of four different nationalities: Mylord Runebif, the Englishman, Monsieur Le Blau, the Frenchman, Don Alvaro de Castille, the Spaniard, and Count Bosco Nero, the Italian.
Each of them courts her through the mischievous Harlequin. But Rosaura is undecided…
With the help of her lady-in-waiting, Marionnette, she devises a stratagem to make her choice. But surprise, like love – especially in Venice – is always just around the corner…
The Cunning Widow is at once a pure comedy, a companion piece and a captivating adventure, but more than anything, it’s the story of a woman who dreams and fights for her freedom. Because she sets the rules!
