TOULOUSE
The tour begins at the tourist office, a former keep, and takes you to the Place du Capitole, the heart of Toulouse, with its town hall and the theatre of the same name.
Following Rue de Taur and its eventful history, you’ll reach the Basilica of Saint Sernin, an imposing Romanesque building situated on the Way of St James.
The tour continues towards the Jacobins Convent, founded by the Dominicans, an iconic example of Southern Gothic architecture.
Winding through the city’s narrow streets, you’ll reach the banks of the River Garonne: enjoy one of the best views of the ‘Pink City’! Brick façades, majestic buildings and a relaxed atmosphere in one of Toulouse’s busiest promenade areas.
Good to know: Dress code for the Basilica of Saint-Sernin.
Caps, sleeveless tops, miniskirts, shorts, and clothing that leaves the back or shoulders bare are not permitted. If your shoulders or back are bare, or if you’re wearing a sleeveless top, the Basilica provides shawls. You can collect one from the kiosk.
