National Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

AGDE

Description

From 10 to 13 December 2026, the Cap d’Agde International Tennis Centre will host the third edition of the Cap d’Agde National Wheelchair Tennis Tournament.
Now a fixture in the local sporting calendar, this event reaffirms its commitment to raising the profile of wheelchair tennis and promoting the values of inclusion, sharing and pushing oneself to new heights.

For this third edition, 32 players (all ranked amongst the top 100 in France) and tennis enthusiasts are invited to come together for a competition that celebrates a demanding, spectacular sport that embodies fine human values.

Over four days, the courts at the Cap d’Agde International Tennis Centre will be the venue for matches where technical skill, commitment and determination will take centre stage.

The competitors will vie for victory in a spirit of friendly rivalry and camaraderie, helping to introduce as many people as possible to the richness of wheelchair tennis.

Beyond sporting performance, this tournament aims to contribute to the development of ‘Sport for All’, promote sport for people with disabilities and raise the profile of wheelchair tennis.

This third edition reflects the commitment to making this event a long-standing fixture and to strengthening its roots within the local community.

The Regional Handisport Committee will be running a range of workshops to raise awareness of various sporting activities amongst schoolchildren and people with disabilities. The Cap d’Agde International Tennis Centre will once again provide an ideal setting for this event, combining sport, accessibility and a friendly atmosphere.

The public is warmly invited to come and watch the matches, cheer on the players and enjoy these four days dedicated to wheelchair tennis.
They will also have the chance to meet Laurent Giamartini (world number one for many years), Clément Miranda (world number 73 and a rising star of French wheelchair tennis) and Jean-Félix Boudou (the second-ranked French player in the QUAD category).
