QUARANTE
TRAIT(s) is a colorful, graphic circus experiment for audiences of all ages. Inspired by the works of painters Joan Miró and Wassily Kandinsky, it uses the circle as a starting point to explore the world of circus.
In a circular setting, a musician and a performer on the Cyr wheel—an acrobatic structure two meters in diameter—take audiences of all ages on an intimate and fascinating journey. Splashing paint onto the wheel and her own body, the circus artist draws wild arabesques right before our eyes, transforming the stage into a work of art.
To the rhythm of the bursting forms and colors, through the virtuosic and fluid movements of the Cyr wheel, the circus artistry unfolds and takes shape. Live music with trip-hop influences accompanies and amplifies every gesture in improvisations full of freedom.
Crafted with finesse and sensitivity by Coline Garcia, TRAIT(s) is a performance in which art is the very fabric of the piece—a work built around the joy of creation and the freedom of movement.
