A close-knit family is gathered for their father’s final flight. But when the deceased fails to realise that ‘when it’s time to go, you’ve got to go’, the leap into the unknown turns into an absurd make-do camp. The children flap their wings to give their father a push. Feet stamp the ground and the dance takes off; acrobatic lifts find their balance and eggs are juggled towards the final hatching. A flamboyant display of odd birds in a moment of suspended exchange, for a funeral marked by fanfare, whimsy and fantasy!
