TOULOUSE
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra recognised his achievements by inviting him to conduct its prestigious New Year’s Concert in 2027. 150 years ago, the same orchestra premiered Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3, known as the ‘Wagner Symphony’, under the baton of the composer himself, a fervent admirer of the author of *Tristan und Isolde*. It shares the key of D minor with Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 2, which can be enjoyed under the luminous bow of Sol Gabetta, an artist loyal to the Capitole, which she has often accompanied on tour.
