What unfolds then is like a coming-of-age story – the kind every child creates for themselves to feel that a world is opening up before them, one that is more liveable, or bigger, or more intense; a world ‘bigger than life’ that they long to be part of.
For many of us, that world was called ‘the cinema’. Some took refuge there very early on and built their whole world there, in the darkness of the auditoriums, to the point of blurring the lines between their memories and the screens of their childhood.
It is this very story—of images, cinemas and video recorders—that we would like to relive.
