VISITE GUIDEE DU CHATEAU DE SAINT-FELIX LAURAGAIS

SAINT-FELIX-LAURAGAIS

Description

Situated at the prow of a rocky spur, it offers a breathtaking view over the entire plain. You’ll understand why the village was renamed “Bellevue” during the French Revolution.
Records of the castle date back to 1032, when the lord of Saint-Félix paid homage. Unfortunately, the castle was destroyed during the crusade against the Albigensians by Simon de Montfort. After the crusade, Saint-Félix castle was rebuilt in several phases from the 13th to the 19th centuries. A real journey through time awaits you!

You’ll be able to explore rooms that are closed to the public, including the chapel and the cellar, access to which was restored at the beginning of the year.

Guided tours at 10.30 am on Tuesdays.
Admission €6 for adults and free for children under 12.
