CAHUZAC
The Pavillon de la Chasse is located on the estate of Château Portos, dating from the late 19th century, surrounded by 5 hectares of parkland at the foot of the Montagne Noire.
The Montagne Noire is part of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park, at the centre of the Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne triangle. Near the 12th-century abbey school of Sorèze (2 km), with its historic town of character, and the bastide town of Revel (7 km), with its superb wooden market hall topped by a belfry, which hosts one of the 100 most beautiful markets in France every Saturday. Close to the lake of Saint-Ferréol (5km), a “sea in the mountains” with the dam feeding the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This gîte is the estate’s former hunting lodge, converted into a magnificent gîte for ten people, adjoining the Pavillon de la Calèche gîte. The owners live in the château. Pretty garden and lawn, terrace overlooking the private heated swimming pool. On the ground floor there is a living room, a large kitchen opening onto the terrace and a toilet. Upstairs are the four bedrooms, each with en-suite shower room or bathroom. Air conditioning in each room. Sheets and towels available for hire, cleaning service at the end of your stay. Utilities not included, tourist tax extra.
