TOULOUSE
Just a stone’s throw from Saint-Aubin market, Chez Micheline is reinventing the sandwich with generosity and creativity. In this warm and welcoming spot, every sandwich is homemade and made to order, using fresh, seasonal and predominantly local produce.Behind Chez Micheline, Laurie shares a cuisine inspired by family memories and pays tribute to her grandmother, whose first name gives the café its name. The décor, with its family photos and vintage finds, captures that ‘just like at Granny’s’ feel, whilst the recipes playfully blend different influences and flavours.
The concept is simple: choose your base – pulled beef, roast chicken, egg, cheese… – and your homemade sauce, then treat yourself to a selection of toppings: raw vegetables, pickles, fried onions and other delicious additions. It’s all served in a fresh roll from the Saint-Aubin bakery, next door to the restaurant.
