TOULOUSE
Tucked away on the charming Rue des Arts, just a stone’s throw from Place Saint-Georges, Janine Café is a gourmet spot that embodies the spirit of a family home. Conceived by Sophie Serp as a tribute to her grandmother Janine, this tea room and restaurant offers a warm and welcoming retreat where traditional recipes and home-made fare take centre stage.
In a cosy, intimate setting, designed to feel like a living room where you can take your time, visitors can enjoy homemade pastries, cakes inspired by childhood memories, coffees, teas, indulgent lattes, smoothies and other seasonal drinks.
At lunchtime, the menu features hearty, comforting fare: quiches, tarts, mixed salads, croque-madames, ratatouille and the ‘Janines’—delicious puff pastry sandwiches that have become the house speciality. All dishes are prepared on-site in an authentic, family-friendly spirit.
